IAM Healed

ISAIAH 53:5 NLT But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.

Before we have a relationship with Jesus, all lives are the same: rebellious, sinful and incomplete. I was desperate for change and healing. By God’s grace, I submitted my life to Jesus. As I gave my whole life to Jesus, I knew that I needed to be healed. I had wounds and scars from sin. I was angry, defensive, moody, selfish and incomplete in my ability to truly love others.

I take up my new identity in Christ today and everyday: I am healed because of Jesus’ suffering. Jesus experienced crushing pain and whipping for us. He loved us so much that he endured beatings to set us free and heal us.

My identity as a healed being is rooted in the power of Jesus’ love.
I must throw out all doubts about the ability to willingness of God to heal me.
When our thoughts betray us, we lose power in our prayers.

Friend: When you ask “Is it possible to be healed?”
The answer “Yes, I know it’s possible, because of Jesus love for me! He suffered for me!”
God loves you so much! Do you now that? Do you believe it?

Always around Christmas-time we have images of a newborn Jesus. The savior of the world was born in a barn. He was born into this world with a destiny of suffering. But that suffering was for our sins. One of the wise men’s gifts was Myrrh. Myrrh is the oil that is used to anoint a dead body before burial. It is offered as a prophecy of the way he would die. Imagine if you had a baby shower and you received a certificate for cremation or burial plot? I would throw that person out of the party!

Jesus had a destiny to save and heal the world through his suffering and death.
You have a destiny as a healed and redeemed being.

Friend! Claim the miraculous power for your deep inner healing because of Jesus.

Let’s proclaim the Truth
IAM Destined for an amazing life
IAM Loved by Jesus
IAM Cleansed from my sins
IAM Made whole, no longer incomplete
IAM Healed through Jesus’ suffering

“Jesus Paid It All”
I hear the Savior say,
Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.

Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
and melt the heart of stone.

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
Jesus died my soul to save,
my lips shall still repeat

O Praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

IAM Inhabited by the Holy Spirit

Romans 8:11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you.  And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Spirit of God lives in you! The same power that raised Jesus from the Dead lives in You!

Today, in this moment, take a deep breath and ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit.  As you exhale, rebuke the spirits of death and sin. The spirits of fear, anxiety, doubts, hatred, anger and negativity don’t come from God!

The Holy Spirit fills into the deepest parts of your soul.  The Holy Spirit wants to touch and heal the deepest wounds and roots of doubt.0

Holy Spirit comes to breathe new life into us.  Allow the breath of God to stay within you, and make a home inside of you.

EvictionNotice

Evict the unwelcome spirits, and let God inhabit you.
If it takes 10 to 20 deep breaths to bring your heart rate down and settle your soul, then invest the time this morning for yourself.

Let’s proclaim the truth in our identity today:
IAM Inhabited by the Holy Spirit
IAM Filled with Resurrection Power
IAM Alive in Christ
IAM Filled with New Life

This is an old school song from Keith Green:
Listen to the Passion, Let the words and minister to you

Rushing Wind , by Keith Green
Rushing wind blow through this temple
Blowing out the dust within
Come and breathe Your breath upon me
I’ve been born again

Holy spirit, I surrender
Take me where You want to go
Plant me by Your living water
Plant me deep so I can grow

Jesus, You’re the one
Who sets my spirit free
Use me Lord, glorify
Your holy name through me

Separate me from this world, Lord
Sanctify my life for You
Daily change me to Your image
Help me bear good fruit

Every day You’re drawing closer
Trials come to test my faith
But when all is said and done, Lord
You know, it was worth the wait

Jesus, You’re the one
Who set my spirit free
Use me Lord, glorify
Your holy name through me

Rushing wind blow through this temple
Blowing out the dust within
Come and breathe Your breath upon me
For I’ve been born again

IAM Weak

2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now, I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.

At first, it doesn’t sound powerful to admit that we are weak.  It may even sound a bit negative, but there are times in life when brute force hard work it’s going to cut it.

There are going to be times when the counter cultural approach of taking a step back, and admitting that there is nothing we can do, except fall on God’s grace is the most powerful solution.

There are many powers in this world, but there is only one Power of Christ.  I know in order to accomplish and see all the things that I truly desire in this life, the only chance I have is through the power of Jesus.  The way Jesus loved, healed, and spent time with people is the world’s greatest power.

It’s not about perfect skills learned in school or training class.

My close friend John says to me constantly “The greatest miracle is the changing of someone’s soul and the transformation of their mind.”   And I believe it.  I have zero power to do that on my own.

So I can boast gladly about this one face:  In my own power, I am nothing.  I am an amateur among amateur.  With Jesus, I am nothing.

That’s the time when I lift my hands surrender and say, God, I need your grace to take over my weakness.  Then I am ready to let the power of Christ work through me.

The way of the world is to puff up our chest, and act like everything is ok.

The way of Jesus is to start off the day by saying: Jesus!  Your grace is sufficient for me.

I am Nothing without Jesus!  IAM powerless without God.

At first it doesn’t make sense, to run towards the things we are least confident in. Run towards the situations that will make us look weak!

But that’s where the true victory is!
