IAM Patient

ROM 15:4 NLT Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. And the Scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises to be fulfilled.

As much as I enjoy the modern conveniences of technology, I think it makes things difficult for us to have a proper kingdom mindset.
We have on demand, instant, same day delivery, drive thru service windows.  Don’t allow our first world conveniences to make us impatient for God’s ways.

Thank God, there are no drive-thru churches. (That I know of, i refuse to even google those keywords!)
We all have the same 24 hours in a day. It’s how we use those hours that sets us apart from others.
I wish all prayers were answered the first time we spoke them out. But, God’s wisdom and timing is perfect.
The roadmap for our lives and the promises of the future is our bible.  Those scriptures give us hope and encouragement.
God is teaching us in his wisdom about how he works.  He sees the master plan, that is way too complex to understand.  God is weaving a beautiful plan of redemption for our lives and world.
When his promises are fulfilled, it will be awesome.
I hope and believe for the answers to prayer.
I wait patiently to hear about the amazing miracles that God performs in our midst.
I let those answers to prayer encourage me to pray even more.  I ask God to take me deeper on my knees to seek out God’s promises in his word

endurance is patience concentrated1

Then our identity starts to shift to mature patient prayer warriors.  The endurance and patience that define our character give us strength to win any battle.   I encourage you to turn to the scriptures when your heart becomes anxious.  Let God teach you and give you peace to endure.

If you need prayer because you are too anxious, comment on this post.  I will pray for you
Before you enter into your busy day, take some time to proclaim the truth in your identity.
Let God’s holy word speak to you, about who you are!

Know Hope Collective: Attention
You call me here from all the things I’m chasing
You bring me to this place to lie down
You pull me from the wars I’ve been waging
And remind me there’s a table set for us

Exhale, shut my eyes and make me
Slow down and be still

Speak, you have my attention
You have my attention
You have my attention, Lord

You call us here so we could find our purpose
You bring us here, one body, to find rest
You pull us close to you, close together
So close we hear your whisper, feel your breath

Exhale, shut our eyes and make us
Slow down and be still

Speak, you have our attention
You have our attention
You have our attention, Lord

And more than I need
And more than enough
Are your words, oh God

And all that I am
All that I have are your words, oh God

IAM An Earthen Vessel

2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

Friends, I don’t want anyone to put themselves down, and think that they are worthless. All of our worth comes from the light and great treasure that we have the wonderful privilege of having inside of us. Other translations of the verse say, we are earthen vessels. The stuff inside of us, is many times more valuable than the container itself.  True humility isn’t walking around saying, I am nothing, I am worthless.  True humility is living in God’s truth of who you are.  Living in proper understanding of how God see’s you and your is the place where we want to be.

Earthen vessels are clay jars that are fragile. God chooses us to fill with his light. That light is the greatest power in the world. The light of Christ is the only power and force that can save the heart of a man. The love of God that pours into us, is the only true love that can break through even the hardest of hearts.

Every jar is meant to hold something, then be poured out when the time comes. We aren’t meant to store up and never be shared with the world.

God has formed you with his hands. God has a special purpose for your life. Your unique personality, passion and skills were formed into you for a God’s plan. Then he has placed you in the kiln to cure you. I want to encourage some of you, that if you feel like God has turned up the heat in your life, ask God to give you patience to endure the process. The fire, heat and pressure of life is what is completing you. When you are tempted to ask, “Why me?”, try and ask God “For what purpose are you pressure treating me?”

It’s now your time to respond to God and say, use me, pour me out wherever you see fit. The treasure that God has placed inside of you, isn’t just for your benefit, it’s to be shared with the world. And just as the women broke the alabaster jar and anointed Jesus, we will be broken and poured out to do beautiful ministry for God’s Glory.

IAM A Work in Progress

PHILIPPIANS 1:6 NLT And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

We are still in the process. We have not arrived just yet. I want to encourage you first:  God started something GOOD inside of you.  When we think about what events in our life sparked the desire to change or grow, many times, we might think about some shocking events that might seem negative.  I look back and I think I might have done some things differently as a youngster, but those origins are what makes me today.  I hold to the truth that a Good, Great work was started inside of me in the beginning.  My birth was in greatness, and my life will continue in greatness.

More great news:  We didn’t just sign up for something, and that’s it!  We aren’t left to just twist in the wind, and fend for ourselves! We now continue to grow, improve, learn, change and transform everyday!  I am so impressed when I hear about people who make decisions to do amazing things, and the world tells them they are crazy.

When the world tells you that you are crazy , or that it’s impossible: great, you are on the right track! Don’t listen to the lies of the world: you are too old, not smart enough, the opponent is invincible.   Only stick to what you know. God started something in me, and I am going to keep moving towards that wonderful goal!

The beauty of life is that we have the amazing ability to continue to learn and grow.  We have the infinite capacity to learn.  We also have the capacity to grow in our heart for others.

Philippians-0106

Don’t give up!

Don’t write off the world and think that society is not going to change

Don’t think: Who am I but one person, how can I make an impact

You can’t teach this old dog new tricks!

LIES!  All of them!

Today:  Think about the things that are left unfinished.  Are you supposed to leave them behind because they are unworthy of your life?  Or have you forgotten about who you really are, and you need to get back to it?  Don’t give up!  Stay the course!

I believe in you!

IAM Born in greatness

IAM Growing in Greatness everyday

IAM Constantly Transforming

IAM Improving Everyday

He Who Began A Good Work

He who began a good work in you
He who began a good work in you
Will be faithful to complete it
He’ll be faithful to complete it
He who started the work
Will be faithful to complete it in you

If the struggle you’re facing
Is slowly replacing
Your hope with despair
Or the process is long
And you’re losing your song
In the night you can be sure
That the Lord has His hand on you
Safe and secure
He will never abandon you
You are His treasure
And He finds His pleasure in you

He who began a good work in you
He who began a good work in you
Will be faithful to complete it
He’ll be faithful to complete it
He who started the work
Will be faithful to complete it in you
If the struggle you’re facing
Is slowly replacing
Your hope with despair
Or the process is long
And you’re losing your song
In the night you can be sure
That the Lord has His hand on you
Safe and secure
He will never abandon you
You are His treasure
And He finds His pleasure in you
